Plan your trip to Carinthia

Carinthia has always been a crossroads of cultures and can be reached easily and cost-effectively in several ways. Here you will find all information about your arrival and mobility within our region.

By car

Coming from Salzburg (A10), take one of the following motorway exits, depending on the traffic situation: towards Italy (A2) take the exit Villach-Faaker See or in the direction towards Slovenia (A9) the exit St. Niklas - Faaker See. Then follow the road signs. Our house is situated on the northern side of the lake. For exact route planning, click here.

By train

The Villach main train station is a transport hub and is easily accessible from everywhere. Once in Villach, we recommend to travel to our house with the new shuttle service. Book your journey on the day before your arrival (6 pm the latest) - it is cheaper than taking a taxi!

By coach

There are serveral long distance coach services stopping at Villach (e.g. Flixbus). Use this cheap way of travelling and find your suitable connection here.

By plane

Villach is surrounded by many airports and the closest airport is in Klagenfurt (30 minutes away). Other airports close by are Ljubiljana (50 minutes), Salzburg (80 minutes), Graz (90 minutes) und Trieste (100 minutes). A bit further away but with many flight connections ist the airport of Treviso (160 minutes).

Travelling within our region

The nearest bus stop is 5 minutes away. In the summer there are additional summer busses, which you can use free of charge with the Erlebnis CARD (included in the apartment rate). The S-train lines of the ÖBB and the Nature Park Dobratsch shuttle bus  offer you further possibilities to discover our region and Carinthia without a car. You can also borrow our two e-bikes (€ 19,00 per day each) to go on discovery trips in the surrounding area.
